November 23 is Statement of Intent Sunday for the 2009 Vision of the congregation. All of us, as disciples-in-training, will be asked to complete a statement of intent about our giving plans for the coming year.
Liturgy of Healing Sunday, November 30th, 7:00 p.m. As a worshiping community of Christians, God calls us to come together for the sake of healing and renewal. Set within the Liturgy of Holy Communion, people may come forward for laying on of hands and anointing with oil. All of us suffer from disease in our lives whether it be physical, emotional, relational, or spiritual. The Church, as the Body of Christ on earth, has been given the privilege of offering healing to a broken world. Please take time out to encounter God’s healing touch in your life.
Going Green...Caring for God's Creation: ALC now has a recycling program! If you look near our shed on Pinehurst Drive you will see a blue square box provided by Hum-ble Recycling. We are accepting all plastics 1-6, metal, aluminum, paper and cardboard. Please put all metal/aluminum and plastics in trash bags, but cardboard and paper can be thrown in loose. There are also receptacles inside the ALC building for plastics bottles/aluminum cans and paper. Please use these containers as good stewards of the beautiful earth God entrusted to us. And be sure to tell your friends and neighbors that there's a new place available in our community to accept their recyclable items.
November Resources: November issues of Seeds of Grace, the ALC Calendar and the Worship Calendar are now available on our resources page.
