Originally from Massachusetts, Pastor Anholt lived most of his life in the Minneapolis area. After graduating from High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls where he received a B.S. Degree with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Geology.
Following college Gary worked in the jewelry industry buying and selling fine gemstones, writing appraisals, and managing retail stores. Throughout this time, he felt God slowly calling him to full-time service in ministry. He first studied overseas missions in Seattle, Washintgon, but then decided to enter Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota to pursue parish ministry. He received his Master of Divinity Degree, and was ordained on August 4, 1996.
Pastor Anholt's first call was as Associate Pastor at Luther Memorial Church in Quincy, Illinois, where he served for five years. In 2001, he received a call from Atascocita Lutheran Church (ALC) in Humble, TX where he continues to serve.

Christopher Lund serves as the Director of Vocal Choirs at Atascocita Lutheran Church (ALC). The son of two ELCA ministers, Chris was born in Minnesota and grew up in numerous locales around the world, due to his father’s calling as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army. Chris returned from overseas in 2002 to study choral music and composition at Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX), where he met his wife Vicki. Last fall, Chris and Vicki moved to the Atascocita area and joined ALC, where they have been very active in the congregation’s music ministry. Chris works as a teacher, giving private voice lessons and tutoring children who struggle with math.

Zane Barra is the organist/choir accompanist and handbell director at ALC. This is his twenty-eighth year to work in the church music field, and he has directed music programs in Beaumont and Houston before coming to ALC. He has a B.S. and B.M from Lamar University in Beaumont. He is in his eighteenth year of teaching music in the public school system. He currently teaches elementary music at Foster Elementary School in Kingwood.

Debbie Barry has served as church secretary for ALC for 12 years. She also volunteers in such activities as the Fall Festival, Voices In Bronze Bell Choir, and Sunday greeting. Debbie, her husband James and daughter Heather have been members of ALC since 1982.
