All Visitors are Welcome
Your first time visiting a new church has the potential to be a daunting experience, as you may not know exactly what to expect. Here are a few points of consideration.

Your initial visits:

Attend worship. Try to come regularly for a number of weeks.

Be sure to pick up a visitor packet at the front desk. Come early for coffee hour (9:00AM). Introduce yourself to our greeters.

Feel free to request a prayer as needed. Open the door for our congregation to care for you.
Attend our Sunday school classes following worship.

Only if you feel comfortable, offer a contribution. Do not feel like giving an offering is a pre-requisite to visit our church.

Once you become comfortable with your surroundings:

Continue coming. Stretch it out for a number of months. Feel free to approach to Pastor Brian about your experiences, either positive or disconcerting.

Try volunteering for a one-time service opportunity. Familiarize yourself with the names of the people you meet there.

Consider your gifts and areas you might be comfortable offering your talents. We are always looking for people who are willing to use their unique talents for God’s glory.

If you have been making donations, ask the office for a contributor number so they can track your gifts and issue an end-of-the-year report for tax purposes.

Next Step

Become a “regular” at worship and Bible study.
Consider joining a ministry team for a fixed period of time.
Consider making a pledge for the next 12 months.
Discover an area to assist in worship for an extended period of time.
Attend the annual meeting.
If you have not become a member at this point, prayerfully consider becoming part of our family here at ALC.
